The Blade Barber Model 1000 is a completely new type of skate sharpener for any ice skate blade requiring a hollow sharpening.
This Blade Barber applies is 1/2" Radius of Hollow and a 6.6° bite angle which is the standard for 3mm thick player ice skate blades (not 4mm thick blades). For custom radiuses between 7/16" and 1" please send us a message and we can fabricate your custom radius sharpener for a small additional fee.
Unlike other handheld sharpeners the Blade Barber actually works. If you're not 100% happy with your Blade Barber, simply return it for a refund.
This is the handiest tool ever for hockey players and skaters of any type. It fits into your pocket so easily you dont even know it's there. The surprising thing is that you get a top quality sharpening tool that's as good as any drop it off sharpening shop - really. My son and I have been using this device for a few months now and I really like how it works and the sharpen that you get from it. It did take a few times to feel comfortable using it. My son keeps it in his hockey bag and has used it a couple of times now when he has lost an edge on his skates. He really likes it. Great tool for a quick fix.
